Ride through volcanic terrain, pine forests, historic caminos reales and breathtaking ravines before reaching the sunny coastline of Costa Adeje. A tour designed for riders looking for a more technical off-road experience while discovering the island’s most authentic landscapes.
Your day begins with hotel pick-up and a comfortable transfer by minivan to the southern slopes of Mount Teide, where your adventure starts at an altitude of 2.200 metres.
After a short briefing and bike setup, you’ll immediately begin descending through volcanic landscapes, surrounded by lava fields and Canary pine forests. As the trail unfolds, spectacular views open over Tenerife’s southwest coast, revealing Adeje, the Atlantic Ocean and, on clear days, the island of La Gomera.
The route follows a combination of volcanic tracks and ancient shepherd trails before reaching La Quinta, a small mountain hamlet that has preserved its traditional Canarian character for centuries. From here, the descent becomes more technical, riding sections of historic caminos reales — the old stone roads once used to connect mountain villages with the coast.
The final kilometers lead through spectacular barrancos and the surrounding countryside before gradually reaching the coastal area of Costa Adeje. Here the contrast between the rugged volcanic mountains and the ocean creates the perfect ending to an unforgettable mountain-to-sea adventure.

This is one of our most adventurous mountain bike tours and is recommended for riders with previous off-road experience and a good level of fitness.
Although the route is predominantly downhill, several sections feature rocky volcanic terrain, historic stone paths and technical descents that require confidence and good bike handling. The continuous descent keeps the physical effort manageable, while the varied terrain offers an exciting and rewarding riding experience from start to finish.
