Starting at 2,390 metres above sea level, this mountain bike adventure takes you from the high slopes of Mount Teide to the Atlantic coast, crossing volcanic trails, pine forests, agricultural valleys, and traditional Canarian villages.
Your day begins with a hotel pick-up and a comfortable transfer by minivan to Izaña Observatory, one of the world’s leading astronomical research centres, located at 2.390 metres on the eastern slopes of Mount Teide.
After a short briefing and bike setup, the adventure begins. Wide volcanic trails lead through ancient lava fields and Canarian pine forests, offering breathtaking views over Tenerife’s eastern coastline and the Atlantic Ocean.
As the descent continues, you’ll ride through the El Contador area, surrounded by colourful volcanic landscapes shaped by centuries of eruptions. The route then gradually changes scenery, leaving the high mountain environment behind and entering a more rural landscape of vineyards, olive groves and traditional potato fields.
Further downhill, you’ll reach Villa de Arico, one of Tenerife’s most authentic villages, where the island’s agricultural traditions are still very much alive. The final kilometres follow scenic service roads through open countryside until reaching El Porís, a picturesque fishing village hidden along the coast, where the Atlantic Ocean marks the end of an unforgettable mountain-to-sea journey.
After a short break by the sea, our support vehicle will take you back to your accommodation.

This tour is suitable for riders with basic mountain biking experience and a reasonable level of fitness. The route is predominantly downhill, making it physically accessible while still offering plenty of fun and rewarding riding.
Most of the off-road sections consist of wide volcanic tracks and flowing dirt roads, with a few slightly more technical stretches that require confidence in controlling the bike on loose terrain. Thanks to the continuous descent, the ride is more about enjoying the scenery and the trails than tackling demanding climbs.
You can pay easily by credit card, debit card, or cash.
