MTB Tour Tenerife: Pueblo De Vilaflor – Corona Forestal

Pedal along dirt roads surrounded by nature, follow ancient trails shaded by towering Canarian pines, and enjoy spectacular views of the Teide National Park.

The tour begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel by minivan, heading towards Vilaflor — located at 1,400 meters above sea level — an unmissable stop for any traveler exploring the south-eastern slope of the Teide Volcano.

After a short briefing and individual bike setup, we’ll proceed to the start of our off-road route, covering a few kilometers on asphalt before pausing to admire the majestic Pino Gordo — the oldest and largest Canarian pine in the entire archipelago, approximately 1,000 years old, standing 45 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 9 meters.

We’ll then continue off-road towards Madre de Agua for about 13 kilometers, reaching the entrance to the trail leading to the Barranco del Río. Here, we’ll take a short 5-minute walk along a small stream surrounded by lush, vibrant greenery.

Back on our bikes, we’ll ride to El Salto, where we’ll stop one last time before returning to the meeting point with our minivan — descending towards the sea through pristine natural landscapes, alternating between stretches of asphalt and easy dirt trails.
