The bike experience begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel by minivan. We’ll then head towards the starting point, located in the Contador Nature Reserve, about 1,000 meters above sea level, passing through the 16th-century village of Villa de Arico.
After a short briefing and bike setup, we’ll start our ascent on a dirt trail that doesn’t require any special technical skills, pedaling towards the Izaña Astronomical Observatory. It’s a steady but demanding climb — approximately 17 kilometers with a 1,300-meter elevation gain.
Once we reach Izaña, we’ll enjoy a long 20 km descent along dirt roads with some sections of asphalt, heading towards the Valle de Güímar. On the way, we’ll stop at the panoramic Mirador de Pájara to take in the breathtaking views before meeting our minivan again for the return transfer.

Muscular Bike
Medium / Hard
E-Bike
Medium / Hard
The tour is of medium to high difficulty, suitable for both mountain bikes and e-bikes. The challenge lies not in the technical aspect, but in the long 17 km climb with a 1,300-meter elevation gain that we will face.
The descent, on the other hand, is quite straightforward — the wide dirt roads, although unpaved, do not require advanced off-road cycling skills and can be enjoyed safely even by less experienced riders.
You can pay easily by credit card, debit card, or cash.
